A Chinese blue and white ewer Kangxi 1662-1722, the tapering body applied with a spiral moulded handle and slender spout linked by an S-shaped bracket, the body painted with vases of flowers and stylized foliage, the handle and spout with gilt metal mounts, damages and repairs to the rim and handle, 27.2cm. A similar ewer is on display in the Long Gallery at Hardwick Hall, Derbyshire.
