A Chinese ink stone 19th century or earlier, the rectangular form carved with a mythical beast conjuring clouds and auspicious things from its jaws, contained in a hardwood box, surface wear and chips to the corners, cracking to the box, 18cm. (3) Provenance: purchased in Hong Kong in the 1980s.
