A Chinese blue and white kraak porcelain deep bowl Wanli c.1600, painted with panels containing flowers, palm leaves and scrolls, the interior with a scruffy bird perched on rocks, 14.3cm. Provenance: a private American collection in California, purchased from S. Marchant & Son, 14th June 1992. Cf. M. Rinaldi, A Moment in The History of Trade, pl.182-18, for similar bowls.
