A Chinese porcelain incense burner and stand Kangxi 1662-1722, the bombé-shaped body with lion mask handles, the stand with five legs linking the ring in which the censer sits, all painted in a rich aubergine glaze, the lower ring with a very faint hairline crack, 23cm wide. (2) Provenance: a private American collection in California, purchased from John Berwald, 16th June 1994.
