A rare Chinese baluster vase Kangxi six character mark and of the period 1662-1722, decorated in underglazed blue, underglazed red and celadon, with trees and huts in a rocky landscape and a single figure on a small boat, the design enhanced by moulded and incised details, together with a wood cover and stand, small footrim chip and another to the inside of the rim, 20.7cm. (3) Provenance: an English private collection, formerly in the collection of Henry M. Knight (d.1971). Cf. Davids and Jellinek, Provenance, pp.276-280 for details about Henry Knight. Cf.
