A large Chinese jade flattened double vase 19th century, carved in the archaistic style with two covers and with panels of calligraphy between stylized bats, dragons and other mythical beasts on a cell diaper ground, the shoulders with mask head handles, set into a hardwood base, 31cm overall. (4) Provenance: Sir Ernest Joseph Cassel (1852-1921). Lady Delamere. A private UK collection.
