A CHINESE ARCHAIC JADE 'DRAGON' PENDANT
WARRING STATES PERIOD
The mythical beast with its head facing proudly forward and its sinuous body curving back on itself, decorated all over with a low-relief pattern of comma-spirals, the yellowish-celadon stone with a large dark marking to the base, 5.5cm.
Provenance: formerly the collection of the Viceroy of Min-Zhe, who served in the Qing government from 1898-1903.
