Painted with a continuous scene of scholars and their attendant in a fenced garden, three of the figures playing weiqi on a rocky outcrop, the rim with a band of stylised leaves, the base with a paper label reading 'Christie's 26 Nov 1998 680', together with a wood cover, 27cm. (2)
Provenance: from a British private collection, formed between 1970-2003; purchased from Christie's South Kensington, 26th November 1998, lot 680.
