18TH CENTURY

Formed as a large mother goose with her gosling at her side, the birds grasping leafy reed stems in their beaks, with archaistic scrolls to their wings, the underside incised with stylised swirling waves, the stone of an even tone with minor pale inclusions, 6.5cm.
