A CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE CYLINDRICAL 'IMMORTALS' VASE

19TH CENTURY

Decorated with a continuous scene depicting Magu and other figures variously holding a basket of flowers and a ruyi sceptre, accompanied by a deer and two cranes, rockwork and pine trees, the waisted neck painted with blossoming flower branches, 45.5cm.

Provenance: from a British private collection, formed 1970-2003; purchased from Christie's, London, on 26th November 1998, lot 406.
