A CHINESE BRONZE TRIPOD INCENSE BURNER AND COVER

POSSIBLY HAN DYNASTY

The circular shallow body raised on three tall cabriole legs, flanked by a pair of upright loop handles, the domed cover surmounted by three ring handles, together with a wood stand, 22cm overall. (3)

Provenance: from the collection of Mr Charles Sydney Cheston, painter, d.1960, and thence by descent, recorded in Charles Cheston's 1946 catalogue as purchased for £25.
