TWO CHINESE VASES
SONG DYNASTY 960-1279
One a Qingbai pear-shaped vase, moulded in relief with a band of scrolling lotus within bands of waves, with a paper label for the South Africa National Gallery Chinese Exhibition 1953, no.115, the other a globular jar freely carved with vertical lines encircling the shoulder and foot, divided by concentric bands and with a pair of loop handles to the neck, each decorated with a bluish-green crackled glaze, 27cm and 15cm.
