SIX CHARACTER KANGXI MARK AND OF THE PERIOD 1662-1722
Enamelled with three vessels to the centre, containing various flowers including peonies, prunus, wisteria and magnolia, all enclosed by eight cartouches with alternate scenes of mythical animals and floral sprays, the underside further painted with blossoming branches, incised Japanese Palace inventory mark 'N:16/I', 33.4cm.
Provenance: the collection of Augustus the Strong (1670-1733), property from a deceased estate, Cheshire.
