A LARGE CHINESE ENAMELLED PORCELAIN FIGURE OF A MONK

PROBABLY REPUBLIC PERIOD

The figure depicted seated in lalitasana with one hand held in dhyana mudra and the other raised in vitarka mudra, he wears yellow robes brightly decorated with flowers amongst scrolling tendrils and geometric designs, with areas of detail highlighted in gilt, all raised on a turquoise throne shaped as rocky mountains, painted with a six character Qianlong mark to the front, with an impressed six character Qianlong mark to the underside, 34cm overall.
