A CHINESE IMPERIAL YELLOW-GROUND 'DRAGON' SAUCER DISH
SIX CHARACTER GUANGXU MARK AND OF THE PERIOD 1875-1908
Painted to the centre with two finely incised dragons contesting a sacred pearl, one beast picked out in green enamel, the other in aubergine, with flowering and fruiting branches surrounding the medallion, the underside with two further dragons, the base with the reign mark in black enamel, 11cm.
Provenance: from an English private collection, West Yorkshire, formed in the 1970s and 1980s.
