A LARGE INDIAN BRONZE FIGURE OF PARVATI

19TH/20TH CENTURY

Cast standing in tribhanga upon a lotus pedestal, holding her left hand at her side and her right hand in karana mudra, depicted wearing a dhoti and body jewellery, with her hair piled high and adorned with a crown decorated with a stylised animal mask, all raised on a square-section base incised with petal-shaped lappets, 77cm, 20kg.
