The beast depicted lying down with its head turned to the right, it clutches a brocade ball with its two front paws, grasping a swirling ribbon between its fangs, detailed with bulging eyes and a bony spine, its body finely incised with simple scrolls, 5.2cm.
Provenance: from an English private collection, Kent, mostly acquired between 1970 and 1990.
