Formed as a steep rocky mountain with a temple on the summit, with many monks climbing and resting on the mountain path, some depicted riding animals, the setting rich with pine, wutong and other trees, all raised on an octagonal-section ivory base decorated with flowers and archaistic scrolls, the base carved as a flowerhead, 45.4cm overall.
