TWO CHINESE LATER-ENAMELLED TEA CANISTERS AND A WINE CUP

One tea canister of rectangular section with chamfered corners, the base with a label reading 'HMEC 626', the other with a square-section body and indented corners, with paper labels for the Helen Espir Collection, no.763, and R & G McPherson Antiques, each painted with birds perching on flowering branches, together with later metal covers, the flared wine cup brightly enamelled with pheasants amongst blossoms and rocks, the design painted over an underglaze blue landscape scene, with a paper label reading 'HMEC 472', 10.5cm max. (5)
Provenance: the tea canisters formerly in the Helen Espir Collection, nos.763 and 626, and then sold in these rooms on 12th November 2014, lot 380; and then the collection of Mrs Elizabeth Walter, née Hall (d.2021).
