THREE CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE ARMORIAL PLATES
18TH CENTURY
The two larger plates a pair, each painted to the centre with two black hounds above the motto 'Nigra Sum Sed', the arms possibly those of Aguado de Las Marismas, with flower festoons to the rims, the third plate of hexagonal form, painted with a blue and white shield amongst foliate sprays, with a hand clutching wheat and the motto 'Not The Last' above, the rim decorated with a complex floral band, with an old paper label to the reverse, 29.5cm max. (3)
Provenance: from the family collections of Captain George Lionel Jameson OBE (1880-1961) and his descendants.
