A NEAR PAIR OF CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE RUBY-GROUND ORMOLU-MOUNTED BEAKER VASES
THE PORCELAIN 18TH CENTURY, THE MOUNTS 19TH CENTURY
One painted with shaped panels enclosing ladies, boys and flowering branches beneath a continuous lotus scroll, the other decorated with cartouches containing peony and chrysanthemum blooms between green bands of roundels reserved on diaper, with stylised flowerheads dividing the panels, all set against a rich cherry-red ground, with ormolu mounts to the rims and feet, the interior of each with a removable liner, 42.5cm overall.
