A PAIR OF SAMSON FAMILLE VERTE 'LION DOGS' BOTTLE VASES
19TH CENTURY
Each painted to the exterior with lion dogs playing with brocade balls in a landscape, with bands of scrolling flowerheads and ruyi-heads to the shoulders, each surmounted by a tall slender neck, with bands of diaper encircling the gently flared rims, raised on ormolu stands, 43cm excluding stands, 48.5cm overall max. (2)
