The tall body rising to a short gently flaring neck, painted to one side in underglaze blue with two lion dogs standing beneath a pine tree, the mythical beasts surrounded by rockwork, with three bats in flight above, the base with a paper label for Hugh M Moss Ltd, together with a wood stand, 40.7cm. Provenance: from an English private collection, West Yorkshire, formed in the 1970s and 1980s, purchased from Hugh Moss.
