A Chinese table screen, set with a pale celadon jade oval plaque, carved in relief with auspicious symbols including twin fish, a vase, a canopy and a central shou character, the screen reticulated hardwood, the plaque probably 16th century and formerly from a ruyi sceptre, damages to the fretwork screen, 20.5cm overall.
Provenance: An important European private collection formed in the 19th century by a Russian nobleman and diplomat.
