A Chinese gilt bronze circular box and cover, made for the Islamic market, the top with the Arabic inscription 'Alhamduli Allah' meaning 'Praise God', within a scrolling foliate border, probably 18th century, 10.5cm. (2) Provenance: By repute, the 1st Baron Amherst of Hackney, of Didlington Hall.
