A large Chinese tureen and cover

A large Chinese tureen and cover, modelled as a carp, moulded with scales to the cover and to the underside and detailed in brown, pink and black enamels, the interior turquoise and inscribed 'Dan ran ju shi zhi'. A chip to to one tip of the tail. 19th century, 43cm. (2) Provenance: from the collection of the Late Reverend Victor Farmer.
