A pair of Chinese armorial plates, painted with flowers and with a crest of Watson to the borders, c.1765, 22.5cm. (2) These plates were made for Admiral John Watson, Commodore of the Fleet of the East India Comapny, to whom this service was presented by the company. Cf.
