An unusual Chinese meiping vase
An unusual Chinese meiping vase, decorated with a wide band of incised scrolling lotus above a band of gadroons, the shoulders with jue-shaped flower scrolls. Restoration to the neck. 16th century, 26.5cm. Cf. Anthony du Boulay, Chinese Porcelain, pl.29 for a wine jar with a similar decoration.
