A small Chinese blue and white plate, painted with a central scene after a European print illustrating the genteel pastime of guessing the name of flowers by their scent; possibly the sense of smell, all within a border of flowering branches, the base with an artemesia mark, Kangxi 1662-1722, a faint 2cm hairline crack, 15.5cm.
