A large pair of Japanese porcelain mallet-shaped vases and covers, with cylindrical lobed bodies, decorated in black, red and gold to simulate lacquer, with rondels containing flowers and birds, on a karakusa scroll ground, 19th century, one riveted, the other cracked, both with wear, 49.5cm. (4)
