A Chinese famille rose brushpot, bitong, formed as a tied scroll, moulded with a coral coloured gilt decorated ribbon and decorated with a cell diaper ground outlined in blue, the turquoise base marked Yu yan shu wu (Library for washing inkstones) in iron red and within a doubled lined square, 12.8cm.
