A good Chinese famille rose ovoid vase, by Zhai Xiaoxiang, with a slender neck and everted rim, finely painted with bamboo, roses and a flowering magnolia, above which fly colourful butterflies, the reverse with calligraphy, the base with a four character seal mark Jing de zhen zhi, 1995, 26cm. Cased and with artist's and Olympia exhibition certificates. Paper label for Peter Wain Antiques.
