A Chinese lapis lazuli rectangular table screen, finely and deeply carved with two cranes, one standing on a rocky ledge, the other flying above a pine tree and water, the reverse with incised and gilded calligraphy titled Yuzhi he shi (An Imperial poem in praise of cranes), possibly Qianlong 1736-95, the plaque 22.9cm. Raised on a carved hardwood stand. (2)
