An Indian bronze figure of Yashoda, standing holding the child Vishnu (born as Krishna) to her hip and raised on a rectangular plinth, 17th/18th century, 15.6cm.

In Hinduism, Yasoda is the foster-mother of Krishna, an avatar of Vishnu. Yasoda with her husband Nanda raised their children Krishna, Balarama and Subhadra.
