A massive Chinese blanc de Chine model of Guanyin, the Goddess of Mercy, standing holding a sceptre wearing flowing robes, raised on a wood stand, p'u-chi y impressed to the reverse. Minor repairs. 19th century, 57cm. (2) The mark p'u-chi y literally means 'reaching all, even fishermen'.
