A rare Chelsea figure of Dr. Boloardo after the Commedia dell' Arte series modelled by J.J. K and P. Reinicke for Meissen. He stands with his right hand on his hip and his left hand raised, wearing a pale hat and an ermine-lined black cloak. The pad base applied with four flower heads and leaves, a red anchor mark to the back of the base. Restoration to his left arm, hat rim and other extremities. c.1754, 15cm. Cf. P.
