A rare acid-etched wine glass for the Earl of Bristol early 19th century

A rare acid-etched wine glass for the Earl of Bristol early 19th century, the generous bowl inscribed 'Je N'oublierai Jamais: The King, Loyalte M'oblige', raised on a conical foot, 12.5cm.

The motto is for the Hervey family, and probably relates to Frederick William Hervey (1769-1859), the 5th Earl of Bristol and later 1st Marquess of Bristol. He died of gout.
