An Italian maiolica two-handled syrup or wet drug jar, inscribed 1719 but possibly later, painted with St Dominic kneeling before the Madonna and Child, a scroll banner inscribed 'S. VIOLATO', with applied fleur de lys motifs beneath the twist handles, the reverse inscribed '1719' above a sailing boat, 22.3cm.
