A pearlware lustre plaque and a commemorative jug, c.1820, the plaque moulded with a profile portrait of Queen Caroline within a pink lustre frame, the jug moulded and painted with oval portraits, titled around the neck 'H Brougham Esq MP' and 'T Denman Esq MP', the spout moulded as a satyr mask, restoration to the spout, 13.5cm max. (2)

Henry Brougham and Thomas Denman represented the Caroline interest during the Bill of Pains and Penalties, which aimed to dissolve the Royal marriage and deprive Caroline of her rights. Cf.
