A moulded glass portrait bust of Sir Robert Peel c.1845-51, by F & C Osler of Birmingham, modelled as a Roman emperor, raised on a square socle, moulded mark to the reverse, 17cm.
The same bust on an octagonal plinth is in the Corning Museum of Glass. The V&A has the similar bust of Prince Albert that was made for the Great Exhibition of 1951.
