A large Wedgwood black basalt bust of Mercury 19th century, wearing his winged hat and with head turned slightly to the left, raised on a circular socle base, impressed marks, moustache marks to the base, a chip to one wing, 46.5cm. Provenance: presented to the vendor's great aunt in 1912 as a wedding gift from the Wedgwood family.
