A Delftware plate, Wincanton or Bristol, with a powdered manganese ground, the well painted with sailing boats before a waterside castle within an octagonal panel, the rim with eight panels containing stylized flowers, c.1740, a restored rim chip, 22cm. Cf. Michael Archer, Delftware, p.140.
