A Delftware dry drug jar
A Delftware dry drug jar, painted in blue with the inscription 'C.Ros.Rub' within a cartouche of bald cherubs and stylized flowers, blue line mark to the base, c.1740-60, small restored footrim chips, 20cm. The inscription relates to the preparation Conserve of Red Roses, used as a treatment for consumption because of its soothing properties on the digestive and respiratory systems.
