A Wood-type Toby jug, c.1790, of Ordinary type, resting a round-bodied jug of ale on his left knee, his clay pipe unusually on his left side, wearing a blue coat over a manganese waistcoat and stockings, his hat embellished with a blue leaf sprig, a further sprig to the reverse, some restoration to his hat, 25cm.
