A Meissen teabowl for the Turkish market, c.1756-57, moulded with overlapping lotus petal enamelled in pink, green and blue, a gilt and black Arabic inscription around the rim translating to 'Ah, how beautiful, may it taste good to the drinker, in the year of the Hegira 1170', the interior with a spray of flowers, blue crossed swords mark, 4cm high.
