A rare Bristol figure of Shakespeare c.1770, standing beside a square pillar modelled in relief with the heads of Richard III, Henry V and Elizabeth I, resting his right elbow on a pile of books and gesturing towards an unfurling scroll trapped beneath the bottom tome, a small amount of good restoration, 19.5cm.
