£100 - £200

£170

A good blue and white transfer-printed meat dish 19th century, decorated with the Fisherman's Hut pattern, with four figures and baskets of fish before sailing boats, the border with a wide floral band, impressed N mark, 38.5cm.

Cf. A W Coysh & R K Henrywood, The Dictionary of Blue and White Printed Pottery 1780-1880, p.138. While the maker is unknown, most examples of this pattern can be traced back to the United States.

Please note - the impressed mark is a 14 and not an N.
