An unusual pewter-mounted Westerwald stoneware jug 17th century
An unusual pewter-mounted Westerwald stoneware jug 17th century, decorated with alternate panels of a bearded figure and a group of spired buildings, the latter panels surmounted by a figure in Tudor costume with legs akimbo, piercing himself on the panel's apex, glazed in blue and manganese, the pewter cover perhaps later and engraved with the initials IPR, 21.5cm.
