A Frankenthal group of four children and a dog c.1783, modelled by J P Melchoir, the patient hound draped in a gilt-edged cloth which a girl holds beneath his chin while her brother clambers on his back, a third child holds his tail while a fourth tumbles down beside, crowned CT monogram and 83 date code, 22.5cm.
