A Montelupo charger c.1630-50, brightly painted in a simple palette of ochre, green, blue and manganese with a soldier in striped costume resting a rifle over his right shoulder, against a bright yellow sky, the underside with three manganese bands, a 2cm surface chip, 31cm.
